Stephen Leeb

Hi,

First time poster.  Just thought I would start a thread about this man's ideas, although I know they have been discussed in other places.  I won't get into the long history of when and how I started to "get it" that, the world is rapidly changing and preperations must be made...but...

I am at the point where I want to try have what little assets I do have in a position to grow as the crisis unfolds.   I know Chris is very bullish on Silver.  Leeb certainly is.  I have read "Oil Factor" and "The Coming Economic Collapse" and I must say what both of them are saying does make some sense.

I have started to buy some silver (ETF) and am looking to shifting more of my (small) assets into energy/defense/alternative energies....

Just wondering what others are doing...at this point in time.  So hard to measure which way the wind is going.

Welcome Jason.  Just remember, Stephen Leeb was also very bullish on Enron.  Also, you may want to read this:

JO,

Thanks for the laugh!  You usually have to pay big bucks for that kind of entertainment.  Looks like Leeb is a dweeb.

Welcome to the site Jason -

My first question back to you is have you done the Self Assessment up in the "Take Action" tab at the tp of the site page?  There are a lot of people here who can tell you what they are doing, but their actions are framed by what they think is going to happen.  There is a lot of disagreement as to the degree, depth and speed of the unraveling and all of those dictate different approaches.  Not everyone is starting in the same place - that is probably the key piece in all of your preparations.

Work through the Self Assessment and come up with a prioritized Action Item list and start working on it.  Come back as often as you need to - there are a lot of great people here who can share what they have done.

Leeb does come across a bit wierd...but his economic numbers and the research I have done seem pretty interesting to say the least. 

Thanks everyone for responding... I guess I was tied to Leeb because I have been researching peak oil, learning about it, trying to digest it.

Perhaps a better question would be... what other investors have people on these boards been relying on as the things move along?
